• Visibly Opaque Infrared Filters • No Transmittance 400-700nm Popular for many applications, these filters are manufactured by dissolving organic dyes in a gelatin material to achieve the desired spectral performance. The gelatin liquid and dye combination is then coated onto a supportive substrate and then dried. After removal from the substrate, the film is coated with lacquer for protection. The film should be handled by the edges only to avoid damage. Note that storage in humid environments can cloud filters. Temperatures should not exceed 50°C for extended periods.
